I live in North Charleston, SC. I received a phone call from ECOWATER and was told that my neighbors in my development were complaining about their water. The representative asked if they could send a technician out to our house to test our water. She made it sound like I would be doing my neighbors a favor by having this technician test the water". I asked specifically if this was going to be a sales pitch and the representative assured me that they were not selling anything/. I agreed to the meeting, but there were some indicators that made this meeting strange?. After I agreed to meet with the technician, the representative asked about where I lived and what development I was located in: quite odd since my neighbors where the ones complaining:. The other indicator was that both my wife and I needed to be at this "water testing" session;. I did not know why only one of us couldn't be here/. After the phone call, I checked this website-thank you to all you who care about others to take time out of your busy day to write here-you may have saved me thousands of dollars.. To give the company the benefit of the doubt-they might sell a good product (I do not know), but their sales practice is questionable!. I called them back and canceled my meeting with them. 1290e9f

| 1. Written by Mark on December 20, 2011 from minneapolis, minnesota, US We just had a "technician" come out and test our city water. After testing, since we had some time, he felt he should recommend a couple products to us. He recommened the "Whole House Water Perfine" and the "Reverse Osmosis" system for about $7000. When we said no, he mentioned that his boss was removing the display models from the office and he could get a good deal on them that was not being offered to the "sales men". He almost had me convinced I needed a water purifier until he dropped that old line. |

Written by Djboone Friend on April 29, 2011 from dallas, texas, US Good job man, even if they do have a great product, no one in their right mind would purchase something from someone who was being dishonest to get into their home. Any business that uses those specific sales tactics is simply trying to do what they feel is the easiest possible way to do what they are doing. I find it quite humorous that they think it is an effective sales tactic. |
