This water softener is not any better than the Whirlpool that you can buy at Lowe's. I've had both. The only difference is that the Lowe's is whole lot less expensive". If you are going with Eco Water do not buy the entry level water softener/. Either upgrade or go with the Whirlpool?. The salesman himself admitted that it is about the same quality:. When I asked him then why purchase Ecowater he said it will require less maintenance|. That is true so far (but have had for less than 2 years)". It either pushes out way too much salt or barely any,. Adjusting the level does not help.. This is strictly my opinion. 1290f5b

err 3500 is a softener too. The refiner softens and removes the chlorine.

You get what you pay for. I purchased the top of the line system from Ecowater which is ERR 3500 water refiner, not a water softener. I am very pleased. Sounds like you didn't do your homework on which systems were best and warranties, etc. ERR 3500 has a lifetime warranty and I am very pleased with my refiner. For you cheap-skapes who try to buy the cheapest thing out there.....you got EXACTLY what you set out to purchase....the cheapest thing. Why would you put a price tag on the quality of your family's water???? Buy the ERR 3500.....it's well worth it.
